Authenticity of Artworks
Authenticity of Aboriginal art has been an issue for the Aboriginal Art Industry for some time now. The major questions one should ask themselves when considering purchasing Aboriginal art are as follows:
- Has the art been produced by the artist?
- Is the artwork accompanied by a 'Certificate of Authenticity' outlining details which include where the artwork was created etc?
- Is an Artist profile included which has the artist's details and photograph?
- Does the price of the artwork seem reasonable?
- Is the artwork of the same quality as other pieces done by the artist?
Kinj Art Aboriginal Online Gallery guarantees reasonably priced artwork and quality from the artists displaying work on this site. Kinj Art will include 'Certificates of Authenticity' when artwork is purchased. This certificate will outline the artwork details which include an artwork image, name, dimensions etc. and will be signed personally by the artist.
In addition Kinj Art will also include a copy of the 'Artist's Profile' which includes the artist's details and the inspiration behind their artwork.
