Hello, we are Kinjart our names are Michael and Michelle and we have always had a great interest in Contemporary Aboriginal Art i.e. the modern day version of art reproduced onto a canvas with modern mediums. We predominately use acrylics with additives and believe in developing our own themes and styles. We are even greater advocates of Noongar art and crafts that reflect where the artists come from by the artist using a theme belonging to their tradtional values and/or cultural background.

Our creative process evolves from past and present influences which include oral communication from our elders, and the stories they told us about their lives and our history. We chose to start a career in art basically to illustrate our cultural heritage but believe art should follow a standard so that the buyer enjoys their experience or regards quality as a priority.

Our heritage is from two different regions Michelle being from the Bal-ar-dong area of York W.A and myself being from Min-ang (mirning) area of Albany. Both family groups are identified as being from the Noongar nation but have variations of dialect and lifestyle due to location.

We now reside in a suburb outside of Perth the capital city of Western Australia where we are currently raising our 5 children.
